Background Information
Manga
Genocyber is a discontinued Cyberpunk manga that ran from 1993-94 written by Tony Takezaki. In the near-future, the rising power of corporations is displacing that of the state. Twin sisters Elaine and Diana possess psychic abilities. But when their father discovers in his experiments that pushing their psychic link too far may endanger their lives, he discontinues his experiments, only for a dubious colleague, seduced by offers from one of the aforementioned corporations, kidnaps the three and locks them in a facility. Eventually after some of these experiments, Elaine would eventually escape and become the Genocyber.
OVA
Genocyber is a 1993-1994 OVA series produced by Bandai Visual and released in North America by U.S. Manga Corps. Genocyber was also released by Manga Entertainment's UK. Genocyber details the creation of the ultimate biological weapon created out of two psychic sisters. Starting off in Hong Kong, the story follows Elaine, a young mute girl who is unwittingly dragged into the ambitions of a mad scientist who wants to combine the powers of the girl and her crippled sister to activate the Genocyber itself. The series is known for it's over the top blood & gore and its weird mindfuck moments. The series is like a mix between The Guyver and Evangelion.
Standing in the Battledome
Manga
Due to the short run of this manga, there are not many feats to examine. It has humans enhanced by cybernetic parts and wall level characters. Elaine is perhaps supersonic due to a possible bullet-timing feat. There are also psychic powers such as telepathy and telekinesis on display and a programmable cybersuit that is bulletproof.
OVA
Unlike the manga, this series has a wide array of feats. The Genocyber is at country+ levels, whose explosions can range up to hundreds of kilometers in size. It also has massively hypersonic speed and various assortments of hax, such as telepathic powers, resurrection, minor reality warping, and so on. Minor characters are cybernetically enhanced and can stop speeding trains. In addition there is the Vajranoid, who can merge with military systems and assimilate all biological life on an aircraft carrier into himself.
Overall this series is very powerful seeing how The Genocyber can easily destroy cities and also destroyed all countries, defeated their armies, and decimated all life on the planet.
