Religion is a very touchy subject within the OBD as debates on it usually tend to create shitstorms. For the most part, people will create threads pitting two figures from different religions against each other. Rather than calm, logical debating, this often results in people arguing in a bias manner for one of the religions, resulting in major flaming. As such many regulars have requested such threads be banned. Several months later it finally happened.
Whether or not certain religious figures are omnipotent, such as the Abrahamic God, has also caused much controversy within the OBD.
For the most part, the topic of religion is probably better left to the Café or Neil Gaiman.
