What is "victory"? |
Background Information
Silverio Series is a Visual Novel series written by multiple authors, but with lead taken by Takahama Ryou, the biggest Masada Takashi's fanboy to date (pfft), which definitely shows here. As expected of the another Light's game it's giant chuu2feast with themes such as fighting fate, nature of heroism and homosexuality (no, really). This, along with plethora of colorful characters, turned this series into Light's biggest cash making device, just behind Shinza Bansho.
While the plot starts as a generic post-apo world and struggle in it, it's just an excuse for crazy characters going on rampage with their completely ludicrous goals and motivations.
It's a trilogy consisting of: Silverio Vendetta (with its extended version -Verse of Orpheus-), Silverio Trinity (with its extended version -Beyond the Horizon-) and Silverio Ragnarok.
Standing in the Battledome
Just like with many Visual Novels, Silverio starts as an average series only to skyrocket immensly in the grand finale.
Most of the characters won't even contend with Fairy Tail, with destructive capacity not reaching multi-city block level. Even hax isn't so good, as despite its high-dimensional nature of pseudo-reality warping (looking at you ToAru espers), they usually don't go beyond laws of physics.
However, Silverio has two groups of characters which can completely turn the tides of the pure superiority, Slaves of Light and Spheres.
The first group is nothing more than caricature of shounen protagonists who through overwhelming spirit awaken and literally surpass their limits to grow infinitely strong (ironically, most of them are villains); depending on the situation they can even destroy and recreate the entire universe (only if they awaken Sphere).
On the other hand, Sphere is the ultimate arrival point of the Asterism, where user makes contact with high-dimensional universe and draws out "answer" (ability) engraved there. They're the biggest hax-winners in the series who managed to break limit points of creation to create power which truly defies logic. Among them there's a couple who can create anti-particles to the most fundamental element in the world thereby negating all abilities and annihilating matter; moe muscle-mass who can increase his output infinitely and evolve without limits (using his attribute as a Slave of Light to the fullest), the kindest boy who can accept, share and fuse all Asterism (abilities) regardless of space and time constraints, homo-Messiah on steroids who by surpassing speed of light can destroy everything in the world through sheer force of will, immortal siscon who can mass produce these Spheres and edgy godslayer who can create physics-defying super weapons.
It should be noted that a lot of broken characters are practically useless outside of their own worldview, most notably those with Anti-Astral abilities, who can't demonstrate their full potential without Astral particles and matter influenced by them.
