Weaknesses: Supposedly water but he took a swim just fine so..., basic type weaknesses also include Grass and Ice attacks. It's questionable how effective they are as well.

- Drought: Groudon's body glows white and it fires a pillar of white light from it into the sky. The sky then becomes sunny and clear, and no clouds can be seen. In the games this is intensified causing intense heat and making water dry up.
- Solar Beam: A powerful grass type move. Sunlight is absorbed and converted into a powerful energy beam that is fired at his foes. It was strong enough to stop a tsunami.
- Mud Shot: A ground type attack. Groudon spits a stream of mud at his foes. Powerful enough to stop Kyogre's hyper beam.
- Earthquake: A powerful ground type attack that uses seismic waves to attack his foes. Unlike most Pokemon Groudon can trigger actual earthquakes with this attack.
- Eruption: A powerful fire type move using volcanic reactions to attack his foes. Unlike most Pokemon Groudon can trigger actual volcanoes with this attack.
- Precipice Blades: Groudon's signature attack. Groudon uses the earth to create powerful sharp stone pillars to stab the opponent from underneath.
