Powers and Abilities: Super strength, speed, durability, Gourmet Cells (specialized cells with excellent regenerative and strength-enhancing qualities that allows the user to evolve when they consume delicious foods that suit them and the 'tastes' of their gourmet cells, the cells can also evolve as a response to harsh new environments, instantly creating adaptations which allow the user to survive, and can also initiate other self defense mechanisms for the body), can create powerful shockwaves with its claws, can stretch its tongue to use it as a long range attack
Weaknesses: If it's attacked in a certain way, it will start crying
Destructive Capacity: Town level+ (considering it had Toriko considerably outmatched it is probable that its stronger cutting attacks are superior to his Leg Knife)
Range: At least a dozen meters with its tongue
Speed: Faster than the eye can see+ (Zebra said that to hit this monster, you would need to attack at the speed of sound)
Durability: Town level+ (tanked several high level sound attacks from Zebra and a 10-Ren Kugi Punch)

Stamina: Superhuman (outlasted Toriko and Zebra, who were heavily damaged and out of calories, by the end of its fight with them. It also still had a lot of it's stamina, and had no real injuries)

- Gourmet Cells: Specialized cells with excellent regenerative and strength-enhancing qualities. When a human successfully adapts Gourmet Cells into their body they gain overwhelming life force and strength, creating a super human, or in the case of all Capture Beasts, an animal with increased physical capabilities, and taste. An individual's Gourmet Cells increase in power when they consume delicious foods that suit them and the 'tastes' of their gourmet cells, causing the cells to 'evolve'; this enhances the strength of the user and their abilities. Gourmet cells can also evolve as a response to harsh new environments, instantly creating adaptations which allow the user to survive. Gourmet Cells have very high energy demands, so individuals must consume frequent large amounts of delicious food, lest the cells begin uncontrollably devouring the their body at the cellular level.
- Shockwave Claws: The Sphinx waves it's paw with such tremendous force, that a shockwave comes off of them, which is strong enough to slice apart and smash thick layers of stone.
- Tongue Attack: By hardening it's tongue and propeling it toward it's enemy, the Spinx can use it as a long ranged attack.
