The only Hadou God that doesn't turn our lives into shit |
Name: Marguerite "Marie" Breuil, Dai Go Ten (Fifth Heaven), Tasogare no Megane (Twilight Goddess - name of her Divinity), Twilight, "Princess of Guillotine"
Origin: Dies irae
Gender: Female
Classification: Hadou God
Age: Around 10,000 years old
Powers and Abilities: Reality warping, causality manipulation, soul manipulation, cosmic awareness and pseudo-omnipresence, summoning, immortality (type 4), non-corporeal, avatar creation
Weaknesses: Unlike other Gods she doesn't have antagonistic properties so she can't collide with others, thus her offensive capabilities are very low; huge freedom of her law can accept even monsters such as Hajun, her Hadou Gods coexistence has limits
Destructive Capacity: Multiverse level+ (she could encompass Mercurius, Reinhard and Ren at the same time)
Range: Multiversal+
Speed: Irrelevant
Durability: Multiverse level+
Lifting Strength: N/A (she's pacifist and doesn't use any physical strength, but as a Hadou God it doesn't really matter anyway)
Striking Strength: N/A
Stamina: Infinite
Standard Equipment: None
Intelligence: She's rather pure in nature and doesn't know much about outside world
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Curse of Guillotine: innate curse that decapitates anyone who touches Marie, regardless of tangible and immaterial body. It is so powerful that even Mercurius is powerless before her touch (however, it's unknown whether curse is so powerful or it's just a nature of Mercurius' law who desires to die by her hand). Nature and origin of this curse remained unknown to the very end. It's possible that it's expression of her "isolation" as a Gudou God (after she became Hadou God and learned about preciousness of life, her touch can no longer end life).
- Amantes Amentes―Omnia Vincit Amor: Marie's Atziluth, Hadou type, law that emerged from craving "I want to embrace everything". Management of Rinne Tensei. Culmination of her wish to hug and treasure every life that is and will be. Realization of this desire is a world where everyone will become happy someday.
-
Rinne Tensei: law of Reincarnation, place where any soul holds potential for prosperous life. Fulfilling their own definition of happiness, this doctrine respects freedom of humanity, by embracing both, saints and sinners. However, in the afterlife feelings of remorse take lead and sinners promise to change for better. While memories are cleared after soul transmigration, it doesn't mean that previous selves were pointless like in Eigou Kaiki. Rather, Rinne Tensei accumulates experience achieved in previous lives to make current one even better. Because of its huge productivity and unmatched progression of civlisation, this world evolves very fast and would ultimately exceed civilisation which created Throne.
-
Coexistence of Hadou Gods: perhaps the greatest trait of this law is coexistence of Hadou Gods, feat achieved only by Twilight. Normally, Hadou Gods collide regardless of their will, thus only one Hadou God can exist in the Throne. However, Marie's Rinne Tensei can embrace them all and share her territory with others, effectively coexisting with each other. This works even on newborn Hadou Gods; in case new Hadou God occurs, he will voluntarily withdraw after being embraced by Goddess (though there's one exception), unable to taint something so beautiful. These Hadou Gods will become her Guardians, protecting her in the face of danger. Nevertheless, this ability has limits, as holding three Hadou Gods was her limit (it's unknown whether this limit is related to number or mass of Hadou Gods).
-
Memory of Throne: due to Marie's high degree of acceptance, she's the only Hadou God who can reenact previous laws in their perfect form. However, as she never demonstrated this ability, it's unknown how she expresses them.
-
Kamunagara: power vision of Hadou God, phantasm mocking existing universe, symbolizing God's Divinity and authority. Marie's Kamunagara takes form of cherubim.
Notable OBD Victories:
Notable OBD Losses:
Other: At the beginning of the story Marie was (imperfect) Gudou God. It's unknown what her craving was exactly, because her emotions couldn't even be properly expressed. It's possible that she was kind of "empty" Gudou God, who doesn't embody any law. Or maybe it was similiar case to Ryusui, who used her law unconsciously and became God only after realizing/accepting that.
