Background Information

Samurai Deeper Kyo, or SDK for short, is a completed shonen manga series with 38 volumes created by Akimine Kamijyo. 

At the dawn of the 17th century, at the end of the era of civil wars, in a world of chaos, the epic Battle of Sekigahara was joined. One man emerged from the largest battle ever fought on Japanese soil; a terrible warrior of unspeakable power, he was nicknamed 'the unconquerable.'

Kyoshiro is a peaceful medicine peddler who harbors the soul of an assassin. He accompanies a young bounty hunter across Japan in search of a murderer and on a quest to discover the terrible secret of his own identity.

Standing in the Battledome

First off, it is not accepted that characters in SDK can move or attack at light speed.

The character profiles reflect the general consensus on this matter. Basically the "Featz or GTFO" thing.

But aside from that, SDK is a fairly strong verse.

As a whole, they're somewhere in between  Hunter x Hunter, D.Gray-Man, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn.

The mid and high tiers sit between small town level+ and town level+ with hypersonic+ to massively hypersonic+ speeds. 

The top tiers are at least small city level+ to city level with massively hypersonic+ speeds.

SDK also has many hax abilities such as time manipulation, gravity manipulation, soulfucking, various forms of BFR, petrification, intangibility, etc.

These abilities coupled with their martial fighting skills make them very formidable opponents.
