OBD Odyssey 1: The First World Martial Arts Tournament!!! was the launch event of Outskirts Battledome Wrestling. It happened on February 3rd, 2020, on the OBD's YouTube channel. Taking place in an arena inspired by the Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi setup, it was a 16 man, single elimination tournament, with the winner becoming the inaugural OBD Champion.
The tournament kicked off the first season of Outskirts Battledome Wrestling. You can watch it below:

Other Developments
The tournament saw other developments which may have a ripple effect on the first season of OBD Wrestling.
- Bane attacked Link backstage and threw him off the production truck.
- Jesus tried to preach to Dark Schneider, who challenged him to a match instead.
- Goku and Vegeta bantered backstage, with Vegeta telling Goku to meet him in the final of the tournament, which he did, with bad results for Vegeta!
- Thanos and Shao Khan brawled throughout the entire arena for over an hour, ending with the latter slamming the former through the ringside barricade!
- Iolaus greeted Hercules after his loss and invited him to sign up together for the upcoming tag team championship ladder match!
Reception
The launch was a big success, with the premier on YouTube being the most entertaining event in the OBD in years, enough to qualify the tournament as a major OBD event. The Goku vs. Pennywise, Vegeta vs. Dark Schneider, and Goku vs. Vegeta matches were all widely praised. Blade said that the Goku/Vegeta main event was: "Quite a good final fight, both Goku and Vegeta can win this. It's really a close fight."
Likewise, "Jesus getting no-diffed by Thanos" was considered a memorable moment by Masterblack06, one of the OBD mods.
The extended fighting between Thanos and Shao Kahn was also a big hit on the premier chat box.
