Walküre Fighter
Walküre fighter in combat during UC792

Name: Walküre (means "valkyrie" in German)
Origin:  Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Type: Aerospace fighter
Dimensions: length: 25 m, height: 8 m, width: 8 m
Weight: Unknown, likely around 40 metric tons
In use by: Galactic Empire/New Galactic Empire, Lippstadt League
Powered by: Compact Fusion Reactor
Propulsion: Compact Fusion Engine x 2 (using purified water as reaction mass in space and atmospheric air under planetary conditions)
Destructive Capacity: Town level
Durability: At least building level (should be more durable than Panzer Grenadier armors and it can also stay close main sequence stars)
Material: Unknown, likely a composite of monocrystaline metal and ceramite foam layers
Performance: Relativistic, ace pilots seem to possess FTL reactions at times (though such people are rather rare in the Empire)
Terrain: Air, Space
Needed Prerequisite for Use: Being a military pilot trained how to operate it
Operational Timeframe: Possesses enough fuel to fly for hours without resupplying
Weaponry:

  • Swivel-mounted Hulls x2 (capable of rotating vertically 360 degrees and swiveling 60 degrees to left and right, each has two rotating laser cannon turrets, 4 of them total)
  • Hardpoints x 2 (for mounting missiles or possibly other auxilary weapons, they are very rarely used due to wieght and fuel consumption issues)

Weapons Range: At least hundreds of thousands of kilometers, standard dogfights occour from hundred meters to a few kilometers, to penetrate the shields of enemy warships fighters usually get as close as ten or so meters.
Notable features: Flexible quad-hull design, fusion reactor and engines, space propulsion via relativistic jets of purified water plasma, atmospheric flight via superheating the air, verniers and reverse thrusters, advanced sensors (with massively FTL scanning speed), avionics, electronic warfare systems, jamming radar in the central strut, FTL cameras, pair of rotating laser cannon in the port and starboard hulls, most likely has a degree of inertial dampening

Weaknesses: Unshielded and relatively unarmored. Limited fuel and ammo capacity which forces fighters to resupply during extended battles.
Notable Attacks/Techniques: N/A

Other: Not to be confused with the transforming fighters/mechs from Macross alternatively dubbed as "Valkyries". Neither with any other similarly named characters/objects from a myriad of fictions.
