Powers and Abilities: Super strength, speed, durability, endurance, agility, a complete master of Ansatsuken (Ansatsuken is a deadly assassination art that relies on using your killing intent to destroy your enemies, where Gouken sought to teach a modified, peaceful version of the art, Akuma studied it in it's truest form, and as such, is able to unleash its power to the fullest extent), Satsui no Hado (Akuma can channel the evil Ki in his body, and release it as a deadly energy attack called the Hadoken, or use it as a means to amp his already monstrous physical strength and durability), intangibility, Shun Goku Satsu (a secret Ansatsuken technique which targets the soul and utterly destroys it), can fully become one with the Satsui no Hado and become much stronger
Weaknesses: He goes easy on opponents often, most of his fights and feats are done with the bulk of his power sealed, desires to actually see an opponent surpass and kill him
Destructive Capacity: Country level+ (part of the top tiers, destroyed the island Gotenkou with a single punch which was several km across and had several mountains on it that were pulverized in the process), much higher as Oni

Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Gou Hadouken: Akuma fires a blast of ki at his opponent, which is more powerful than the non-lethal Hadoukens Ryu for example uses.
- Zankuu Hadouken: Akuma fires a Gou Hadouken from the air. Why they gave the same technique only done from the air a different name is beyond me.
- Shakunetsu Hadouken: A Hadouken imbued with fire. To kill with fire.
- Tenma Gou Zankuu: Akuma fires a volley of Hadoukens from the air, a suped up zankuu Hadouken.
- Messatsu Gou Hadou: The most powerful of Akuma's Hadoukens.
- Gou Shoryuken: Knocks the foe high into the air and slices its foe as the fist is rising up. A well placed Gou Shoryuken can be fatal to an opponent.
- Messatsu Gou Shouryu: Akuma's strongest Shoryuken, can instantly kill an opponent with the least amount of effort.
- Tatsumaki Zankūkyaku: His "Hurricane Kick," Akuma performs a spinning kick so powerful that it was able to cut a sunken ship in half 1,000 meters under the ocean and the shockwave destroyed a nearby submarine.
- Ashura Senkuu: Akuma becomes intangible and quickly glides through the air.
- Kongō Kokuretsu Zan: Akuma gathers Ki into his fist and delivers a single punch. This attack was powerful enough to split Ayers Rock in half. (indicates piercing, rather than collision damage).
- Shun Goku Satsu: Akuma's most powerful attack. This technique is able to destroy the enemy's soul. In order for the opponent to avoid or survive this attack, he must 'empty' his soul the right time or use another similar technique before the destructive effects of this attack start.
- Oni Akuma: Once Akuma have fully tapped into the Satsui no Hado he becomes far more powerful.
- Meido Gohado: Akuma's most powerful blast of ki.
- Tenchi Sokaigen: Akuma launches his opponent into the air with a ground pound of ki and jumps into the air at full force and punches them in the back.
