Powers and Abilities: Superhuman characteristics, enhanced senses, limited reality warping, immortality (types 3 and 4), regeneration (low-godly), non-corporeal (destroying his body in 3rd dimension does nothing), can recreate his sword (Misaki route only), master swordsman, can copy techniques after seeing them once, can instantly adapt to new battle conditions and changes in location, superhuman intuition (can subconsciously perceive even the shortest deadlines in his opponent's movement that even Glenfarth wouldn't be able to recognize)
Weaknesses: Cutting his connection with Glenfarth will remove his infinite regeneration and stamina, he can’t do much without his sword (not a problem in Misaki route where he can recreate it)
Destructive Capacity: At least multi city block level+, possibly island level+ (was casually cutting to pieces area in diameter of 500 meters, on the surface and underground), likely city level+ (with mere strength he was able to offset Ragna’s Fimbulvetr which is compactified nuclear reactor)
Range: At least 500 meters, likely far higher (he can cut everything in his line of sight and some Esperanto can even see up to 1000 meters ahead)
Speed: Massively hypersonic+ (further augmented with his superhuman intuition)
Durability: At least large building level+, however, without breaking his connection with Glenfarth he can’t be killed at all

Intelligence: Combat prodigy to a ridiculous degree, was able to copy sword technique from master swordsman Kurou Murasame who was honing skills from 3 to 4 decades straight just by seeing it once and replicate god-killing technology which should be black box for him merely with physical strength; can come up with new fighting styles on spot and instantaneously adapt to changing battle situations so much that Ragna felt as if he was fighting against hundreds of swordsmen at once, can prevent Slaves of Light from awakening, interrupt regeneration of immortals and use advanced moving techniques to close a gap in an instant; even Glenfarth admitted that William is absolute monster and in pure combat superior to any millennium-old Ancestor, including him
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Orotinoaramasa Tyrfing: William’s Asterism, slash extension ability. Extremely simple starlight which stretches out energy generated from William’s sword edge and launches long-range slashing attacks. It cannot be used without attacking behavior of the user, it doesn’t increase his power in particular and if William’s movement is disrupted the sharpness decreases. It’s a type of ability fully dependent on the user’s skill: if it’s medicore then this ability won’t leave domain of average, but a highly proficient swordsman can use it to the full potential, cutting distant enemies without moving at all. Thus, in the hands of genius swordsman such as William Bergshrine, it’s a starlight which can surpass even Gods. He’s capable of releasing omnidirectional slashes with a range exceeding hundreds of meters, indiscriminately cutting everything and everyone on the path of his sword, buildings, allies and enemies alike. The range of Tyrfing is attributed to his visual ability, everything which enters his line of sight can be cut without exception. His ability extends even underground creating huge chasms in the earth and collapsing surrounding structures into it – with a single sword and simple strength William demonstrated power equivalent to natural disaster.

Shidare Enjuu: quick-draw technique released with minimial motion, leading opponent to believe that attack appeared out of nowhere. This's technique of Kurou Murasame who trained tens of years to hone this skill. William was able to replicate it just by seeing Murasame perform it once. This's further supplemented by his Asterism, allowing him to dismember large groups of enemies.

Six consecutive iai: six iai slashes released almost simultaneously with no time lag between them. Even Ragna with his superhuman reflexes was unable to visually recognize them and would have died without Angelica’s protection.

Hundreds consecutive iai: same as above, only this time William unleashes hundreds of slashes at the same time. With combination of his Asterism it appears as if whole scenery is falling apart.

Singularity Disconnection: reproduction of Ragna's Silverio Fimbulvetr after William got hit by it. Somehow, he was able to synchronize wavelength of axion in his body with his own Asterism to physically replicate Ragna's "Godslayer" without assistance of Ancestors or measurements by computer. Only through pure skill Tyrfing has reached level where he can cut space and time. This allowed him to sever Jace's connection with Sphere of Light and Tsukuyomi. Furthermore, even with simple physical strength he was able to offset Ragna’s Fimbulvetr, their clash rumbling across space and dimension.
- Apostle: people who received power from Ancestors, becoming their limbs and faithful servants. Through ritual called “Baptism” Ancestors create purified axion (materialized astral) and drive it into subject heart. Resulting body alteration grants them all benefits common to Esperanto, including increased physical abilities and acquisition of Asterism. What sets them apart from Esperanto is that through axion they inherit properties of their masters. In the case of Ancestors, it’s immortality. This ritual forms invisible connection between Ancestors and Apostles and so long this connection remains Apostles can regenerate even from complete destruction. They can freely adjust regeneration speed, usually they can regenerate their entire body in about 3 seconds, but it’s possible for them to delay it for combat purposes. However, because they’re 3-dimensional beings their lifespan is finite and thus, they can still die of old age. Furthermore, because they’re always connected to their masters, who in turn are connected to Amaterasu and draw power from there, their stamina is effectively infinite.
