A term used to refer to a large shockwave created by a character with super strength violently clapping their hands together. These attacks can be incredibly destructive, sometimes equalling nuclear bombs or hurricanes.
Notable characters who have displayed thunderclap:
- The Hulk, The Thing, Super Skrull and the Juggernaut (from Marvel Comics)
- Superman, Doomsday and Wonder Woman (from DC Comics)
- Zoom from DC comics has a related ability: he can "thundersnap," creating a sonic boom and shockwave just by snapping his fingers
It should be noted, any character with a certain level of Superhuman strength could theoretically use a thunderclap, though few display it. Its strength would vary in power (I.E. If Naruto performed one, it would be weaker than one Superman could produce.)
