Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Sigurdbane Dainsleif: Dainsleif's Asterism, subjugation of the earth through matter manipulation. Starlight which controls the very world itself, worthy of the civilisation's champion. This ability allows Dainsleif to freely control density and shape of the earth in his range, from making rocky terrain soft, thus depriving his opponent of freedom to turning every piece of the land into potential weapon. Not only earth, but every building or structure can be used as a starting point of his Asterism. He can turn everything in at least hundred of meters radius into forrest of dragon's nails, jaws, swords, spears and arrows, launch them into air or defend against physical attacks by turning earth in his vicinity into sturdy barrier. Because he can manipulate it without any sign or movement it's very difficult to predict his next attack and earth restructures almost immediately giving target little time to avoid. After becoming Planetes his interference evolved further, now literally turning ground into dragon. However, the true quality of this starlight is the output itself. He's the only Esperanto who managed to match Hero of the Adler Empire with pure destructive power. During his fight with Keraunos, his ability have reached new heights. Dainsleif can now literally turn any form of ground into liquid and manipulate it as if it was water. Fluidity of his attacks is so high he can send enormous amount of this "liquid ground" into air, instantaneously solidify it and bring back as rain of weapons since phase transition has now no time lag at all. He can now control matter of the entire city, turning every bit of land and structure into sea of liquid and then reshape it into every mythological monster, not only dragon. He's able to open earth holes and drop his opponent hundreds of meters below, potentially to the planet's core, while at the same time sending huge amount of soil and sand from above and bombarding helpless victim with incessant barrage of thousands spinning fangs from hole's interior. This's technique that can defeat his natural enemy. In case he's cut in half, he can even use stone stakes to sew his body.
- Artificial Dragon "Fafnir": on his quest to become hero-killing dragon, Dainsleif remodelled his body up to 37 times (in the memory of 37th President of the Adler Empire). According to Gilbert only five times is a feat of complete insanity and to pull that off one requires probability on the verge of miracle - foolish notion crushed by pure spirit. Most of his skeleton and some organs have been replaced by adamantium, shards of orichalcum were embedded into his heart, he removed his genitals to reduce sexual urges to zero, installed mechanism which can completely digest nutritions without a need of excretion and through the use of drugs and electrodes connected directly to his brain he no longer requires sleep. He absorbed and took over every technique and technology to improve his body, turning into mechanical human-type dragon - cyborg of the new age created by desires of humanity.

Ideal Planetes: unlike other Planetes who never use their newfound power to reach higher realms, Dainsleif is completely different in that he gradually turned his body into weapon. By absorbing every available piece of technique and technology, they were carved directly into his body, memory and soul, thus upon reincarnation they weren't lost and Dainsleif became the most completed Planetes of all. Carnage and Period used their power only for destruction without any direction, Hive didn't exist for combat from the design stage, Alchemist refused to fight and Strayed seeked power only from the framework of mankind. So Dainsleif not only acquired benefits of the Planetes, but also reached mentality of the perfect combat weapon. Ironically, his determination is also the reason why he can never reach 100% of completion. It's impossible to become true Planetes without process of death and rebirth. They're beings of contradictions who use their lingering emotions and grudges in the previous lives as a driving force, meanwhile he stands firmly in the land of living. Also, Planetes have their entire orichalcum skeletons (main frames) build from the scratch, he has only two small shards in his heart borrowed from Carnage and Period, thus he's unable to endure excess of the high-dimensional energy.
- Interdimensional Phase Transition-Type Nuclear Fusion Reactor: it’s the heritage of Yamato, lost technology, device which can utilize variation between 3rd dimension and higher dimension to extract phase transition energy and use it. The runway of this machine is precisely what caused Catastrophe – erasing Japan from the planet and turning it into singularity. Using orichalcum Dainsleif managed to establish link with it, reincarnate as the Planetes and become outlet for this enormous energy. The success ratio was close to zero, yet due to his miraculous willpower not only he survived, but he remained in his human form. This device constantly supplies him with power that not even other Planetes can extract, rising his strength, speed, durability and output with each passing second. However, since he’s the only outlet for this energy (bar reactor itself) he will eventually perish and potentially cause another interdimensional quake.
- Slave of Light: refers to being enslaved by positive doctrines of humanity: courage and love, prosperity and progress - desire to move forward without looking back. Although at first sight this makes them model for humanity, all of them possess an attribute that turns then into walking disasters, namely excess. Their souls brim with positive emotions, ambitions and expectations; endless passion causes them to discard any sort of attention to the surroundings, beside genuine respect for the opponent. Not only bringing an enormous amount of destruction in the world, but also causing their own bodies to collapse and meltdown, as physical vessel is unable to support this overwhelming spiritual power. By facing his most beloved opponent, Dainsleif can demonstrate his highest power yet. Not only power of his Asterism rises exceptionally, but his output is such that with each passing second he generates more energy than supply provided by Arcadia. Perceiving threat of Keraunos' attack speed, his own speed movement approaches speed of light and engaging in chain awakening with Keraunos would eventually bring ruin to the universe.
- Arcadia's gift: power granted to Dainsleif after conforming to the doctrine of Arcadia. Under its glow all humans craving for better future will receive unmatched power. Justice, resolve, courage, love - world where power will infinitely increase according to these principles. In other words, just through power of one mind, one heart it becomes possible to reject reality and collapse causality. It's a genuine heaven (hell) where humanity will peel off the limits from the universe and expose their personal utopia. "I can't do that", "It's impossible to do that" - such words are rejected only by spirit and guts. World which draws clear boundary between light and darkness, promoting existence of heroes and damning potential of losers. Under this law, Dainsleif in particular will obtain incredible power, his output ravaging everything around, his Asterism rising without limit and his resolve dejecting any oppostion.
