Intelligence: Around human intelligence, Salamence is an extremely vicious Pokémon. It is also arrogant about its victories by spouting intense flames into the air. This behavior may be explained due to the fact that it faced many hardships to get its wings to grow, and therefore, it is very proud of its achievement.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Crunch: Salamence's teeth glow white and it bites down on the opponent with its powerful jaw.
- Dragon Claw: Salamence's hand claws glow light green and it slashes the opponent repeatedly.
- Draco Meteor: Salamence's body glows orange and an orange ball of light appears inside its chest. The glow fades and a ball of orange energy appears in front of Salamence's mouth. Salamence then fires the ball into the air and it explodes, releasing many orbs at the opponent. This is the most powerful Dragon attack, afterwards the user's special attack is lowered.
- Dragon Pulse: Salamence opens its mouth and a turquiose ball appears in front of it. It then fires the ball at the opponent.
- Flamethrower: Salamence opens its mouth and a red-orange ball appears. A red-orange stream of fire is then released from the ball at the opponent.
- Hyperbeam: Salamence takes to the air and releases a powerful energy attack at the opponent.
- Protect: Salamence's body glows light green and a green force field appears around it, blocking any attacks.
- Zen Headbutt: Salamence's head glows blue and it becomes surrounded in a light blue reflective shield. It then slams its head into the opponent.
