- SEED Mode: Shin possesses the Super Evolutionary Element Destined (SEED) factor which allows him to enter a special trance-like state thus enhance his skills, cognitive functions and reactions for a short while. He's not able to enter this state at will, though.

- Silhouette Packs: The Impulse Gundam, analogous to the Strike, can exchange its weapon load-out in the middle of battle, rapidly adapting to the changing tides of the battlefield. Each pack adds different weapons and capabilities:

  • α Force Silhouette: The Force Silhouette, as well as granting atmospheric flight and improved mobility to the Impulse, mounts an additional pair of beam sabers as added weaponry.
  • β Sword Silhouette: The Sword Silhouette carries a pair of beam boomerangs and two anti ship swords which can be combined to form a large double edge sword. It retains the beam rifle for added long range fire.
  • γ Blast Silhouette: Blast Silhouette features two long range beam cannons, two railguns and a set of missile launchers on the back. It also carries a pair of beam javelins for close range combat.

- Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System: The Deuterion beam energy transfer system is a wireless energy transfer system built into the Second Stage Series and their support ship, the Minerva-class battleship. The system allows a mobile suit that is properly lined up with the Minerva to receive a recharge while in the field.

- Wings of Light: Utilizing a variant of the Voiture Lumiere propulsion system in conjunction with Mirage Colloid particles, the Destiny is capable of achieving very high speeds while leaving behind a trail of visible after-images to confuse its enemies. A system that greatly increases Destiny's speed.
