Background Information

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, often referred to as simply Code Geass, is a Japanese anime series created by Sunrise, directed by Gorō Taniguchi, and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with original character designs by Clamp.

The series is set after Japan's conquest by the Holy Britannian Empire on August 10, 2010, a.t.b. with their powerful new robot weapons, the Knightmare Frames, stripping Japan and its citizens of all rights and freedoms and renaming the country Area 11. The titular Lelouch is a Britannian prince who was disowned by his father, Emperor Charles zi Britannia, after his mother was murdered, and has vowed to destroy his father, the Emperor, and Britannia. He gains an ability through the mysterious power of the Geass, becoming the leader of the resistance movement to fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister Nunnally can live happily.

Code Geass has a sequel called Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. There are also a few spin-off series none of which are canon ( Code Geass: Suzaku of the Counterattack, Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally and A Record of the Strange Tales of the Bakumatsu Era: Code Geass) their is also a spin-off OVA series which takes place between season 1 and 2 called Code Geass: Akito The Exiled

Standing in the Battledome

Code Geass is a slightly futuristic alternate history setting with mechs. That makes it stronger than our modern world but as a mecha universe it's only about average. The most basic Knightmare Frames have wall level+ durability and firepower with some skilled pilots being capable of bullet timing.

Float System and its derivates still allow these machines to fly at supersonic+ speeds. Experimental and late generation Knightmare Frames are much more powerful and a few of them could be a challenge for the titular mechas from Gundam. They're hypersonic with multi city block to town level firepower and often possessing shields capable of taking the same amount of punishment. Late in the series they also introduced F.L.E.J.A., their equivalent of nukes.

Their mechanism involves spatial manipulation which catches everything in kilometers radius in a field which then compresses until all its contents completely vanish. Basically unless you're either fast enough to escape or have specific resistance against spatial manipulation, this bomb will be the end. Of course F.L.E.J.A. is a physical warhead that can be intercepted but its potential is unquestionable. There's also Damocles, a floating fortress with powerful shields that was intended to reach space and then terrorize everyone on Earth by its F.L.E.J.A. warheads.

As a side note, Code Geass also has a notable supernatural aspect. Geass users possess unique mental powers with these generally being a limited variation of mindfuck, telepathy or precognition.

Code bearers have a degree of immortality and can give Geass powers to other people.

Compared to what was listed above these are just minor but when used adequately they can be notable tactical or with time even strategic importance. Geass is also ultimately connected to the collective consciousness of humanity and with prep certain characters were nearly even suceeding to merge all humans into one (think of Instrumentality from NGE). So if given the chance Code Geass verse can become even more threatening with these.
