Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Flame Alchemy: Roy's famous alchemy technique, the ability that titled him as the "Hero of Ishival". He can generate streams of orange-colored flames that can easily burn a human to a crisp. Despite its looks though, Roy cannot directly produce fires. Instead he manipulates the concentration of atmospheric oxygen in a way that it becomes highly flammable. By clicking his fingers, Roy ignites these invisible "pathways" of combustible oxygen and create a destructive weave of flames. Roy can execute these attacks with exceptional speed and precision. He can take out an entire group without harming his allies in the middle or directly aim at the eyes of the charging Envy.
- Eyescream: Using his right glove Roy can precisely aim small but concentrated flames at the eyes of his opponent, instantly evaporating the eye liquids as painfully as possible. He was able to track Envy with such a move.
- Oxygen de Gentleman Strategy: Primarily used to pick up chicks, though it can presumably be used in battle as well. Roy uses his gloves to raise the oxygen density around a specific woman to the point that she becomes dizzy. He then rushes to her side to prevent her from falling, asks her if she is all right, and follows up with other sweet words and an invitation for tea.
- Water splitting: Using the transmutation circles on his gloves, Roy is able to separate oxygen atoms from the hydrogen atoms in water molecules, isolating the two gases and creating a highly volatile mixture. With a simple spark Roy can turn this into a makeshift explosive attack to destroy the surroundings.
- Cooking Oven (after passing the Gate of Truth): Roy claps and then places his arms on the ground. Towering walls emerge around the opponent after a short delay which is followed up by Roy sending his flames on the exposed front. Thanks to the oven-like design the flames possess more concentrated power, enough to gave troubles for a weakened Father.
