Notable Attacks/Techniques:

- Uho-hou: method to seal misdirection occuring in all things. In other words, to turn off blind spots by changing directions. Adapting to spirit and concepts, its usage is very huge and can influence any territory, from a degree of feelings conversion to high dimensional spiritual defense. This way, Yakou is passively protected with invisible barrier. It's very robust because it constantly crushes weak points. However, it's no better than piece of paper before Taikyoku of Tenma. Yakou himself uses it to somehow defy gravity.

- Onmyōdō: form of magic which is divided into two branches. Technique of Yang, skills that humans acquire and train during live: martial arts, alchemy and science. In other words, something that conforms to the order of the world, exists within its frame and can't exceed cosmic laws. In the doctrine of Tengu Dou, anyone can perform them. Since there's no concept of God and religion, it's just an act of borrowing transcendental power of someone. Meanwhile, Abnormality of Yin is a power unbounded by doctrine of creation and one that denies it. Unlike Technique of Yang, not everyone possesses it. It's like a poison (Distortion) that radiated from outside of Eastern side, polluting everyone and everything touched by it. Those who are affected by it are subjects of fear, hatred and warped envy. However, this division shouldn't occur in the first place. As everything originates from harmony of Yin/Yang, they should never exist separately. Reason for that is unknown, but duality of Hajun's Hadou and Gudou might have something to do with this, eventually the fact Tengu Dou wasn't completed at that point. Nevertheless, none of these apply to Yakou's skills, since he uses his Taikyoku to exercise Onmyōdō's techniques, as a method that is unique only to him.

• Kotodama: power words, basis of all Onmyōdō. It's like a code that gives meaning to all creation. Various aspects of reality are described by exoteristic (咒) symbols. Fire is fire because its exoteric word says so. From matter, to concepts and existence of humans, all of them have their own root. Onmyōji can bring these words from a phase higher than visible reality for various effects. However, to see these watermarks one requires some sort of higher perception, like Yakou's Tengan or Ryuusui's Foresight.

• Sealing Techniques: usage of paper talismans is one of the basics in Onmyōdō. Practitioners can use them to erect various patterns, each one manifesting different effect. Individually then can be used to convey messages, in the case of Yakou, even across dimensions.

  • Kinbaku: technique to seal Distortion, specifically that of Sakuya. Her Distortion is so dreadful that it became necessary to add fibers of sacred tree exceeding 1000 years and hair of hundreds of women in their last month of pregnancy, amplified by bloody runes. Effect of this seal extends to several layers, isolating Sakuya from external threats as a side effect.

  • Boundary Seal: by deploying several talismans around him and his allies, Yakou can create spherical barrier to fend off incoming attacks. It can defend against army of Yatou's Tsuchigumo, but it's helpless against Tenma.

• Knockout: with just a single word Yakou can cause other people to lose consciousness. While principles of this are unknown, it can even work against characters at the level of Habaki. Yakou can also transport affected consciousness to the Mental World.

• Lightning Redirection: by forming hand seals, Yakou amplifies metal element in the principle of Yin/Yang to bend and redirect lightning, belonging to wood element. However, because Morei uses lightning braided with law of the otherworld, concept that is completely different when compared to lightning of the human world, technique like this normally wouldn't work against her. Even if 10,000 of Onmyōji were to use this technique against her it would be useless. Alteration of the world's law is necessary and Yakou does that through his Taikyoku and perception of the Throne.

• Dimensional Dislocation: Yakou can create dislocation in spatial dimensions for a powerful defense. By putting 7 spatial barriers he can prevent space destroying flames and by embodying free space/time (whatever it means) on the palm of his hand he can completely block Sukuna and Ootake's Kamunagara attacks. Applying 24 of them is the strongest defense of Yakou, absolute defense exercised by phase transition of any attack directed at him, Yakou himself retrats through momentary movement. However, it was easily destroyed by Ootake.

• Pavillon: pocket dimension created by Yakou's spatial expansion. Like many of his techniques, it's unique solely to him. Yakou usually uses it to transport items and even troops.

• Mental World: world created in the mind of the person. Yakou created one in the spirit of Ryuusui for a self-discipline, as a way to dive into her inner self and elevate her comprehension to higher area. Yakou can control all aspects of this world, freely change scenery and even create powerful monsters. Furthermore, he can trap others in such worlds. While injuries disappear upon returning to the real world, death in there is equivalent to death in reality.

• Flight: by ignoring gravity Yakou can fly. While it's very simple in theory and exercise, it's considered to be a high-level technique in Tengu Dou. It's a dream of humanity to soar through sky, but this kind of technology doesn't exist in Sixth Heaven. Yakou can fly at speed resembling comet, as if he was freed from clutches of the star, reaching stratosphere; mocking rupturing winds, low oxygen and cryogenic temperature.

• Shikigami: technique to create pseudo-life. Low-ranked Shikigami are no different from mindless dolls, but powerful Shikigami can express will on their own. They always share emotions and senses with their creator, so they can be used as a surveillance camera. Yakou usually uses his own paper talismans in the form of birds to convey messages.

  • Teirei&Niko: the most powerful Shikigami under Yakou. Heroes of the Old World, Stars of Shura Mandala and Fangs of the Golden Beast.

• Keito Tentsui: Yakou creates hole in the zenith of heaven and using hand seals to draw image of multi-layered mandala in the empty space he changes phase of the world through Mukei, finally causing Ketu, planet of enlightenment and liberation, to change into blazing comet and fall. While it's literally technique of a shooting star, its effects are very narrow. Whether Yakou uses his Taikyoku to reduce the scale or it's just an influence of Tengu Dou, remains unknown. This attack is powerful enough to completely destroy Awaumi's true body, but against Tenma like Akuro and Morei, it simply evaporates upon contact with their body.

- Tengan: Heaven's Eye. Higher perception given to him by Hajun. It's an "all-seeing eye" that can peep on things from a great distance, see through objects and even across dimensions. Even Ryuusui's Foresight, that can see and realize infinitely branched future, is a complete garbage to this vision. Yakou doesn't even need physical eyes to use it, as he could see through essence of Morei even when his eyes evaporated. Because Yakou can perceive Throne itself, he can prevent attacks of Tenma to a certain degree.

• Ākāśagarbha: Tengan provides Yakou with high-speed computation and perception of a higher phase. Combination of these two enables him to finish even large-scale Onmyōdō's rituals (like Keito Tentsui), with just 2-3 words. Normally, powerful techniques like this, require hundreds of people and several days of chanting. Furthermore, he can ignore necessary conditions and cast techniques freely. Fusion of this and his Mukei granted him ability to manipulate movement of the stars.

• Tengan―■■: third eye that Yakou gained after losing his original eyes, even more powerful vision that can peek into high-order domain. It can see through craving of his opponent to determine scale and nature of Taikyoku. Moreover, by deciphering history of Throne and type of Divinity he can perceive true names of Tenma and in the result, weaken them.

• Tengan―Sēnluódiàn: last type of vision, gained aftter he was resurrected by Ryuusui. Fully embracing his Karmic Star as the one who judges after death, Yakou can see attribute of deceased souls and determine what kind of afterlife is appropriate. He could even perceive end point of Eigou Kaiki to grant afterimage of Mercurius death he always desired.

- Taikyoku―Mukei: because Yakou has reached Throne governing all creation, this power can’t be classified at all. Simply put, he can do everything under laws of physics of the universe. It can even be described as a complete opposite of power distorting physical laws. Center of infinite swastika, hierarchy of Yakou and nothing more than his point of view. He’s always here and can’t get out of here; his existence is that of genuine singularity who can’t cross path with anyone or anything. Ants can’t comprehend existence of humans and humans fail to understand phenomenon called Yakou. That’s why he uses it to pick existence he wants to make contact with and align its presence with his own hierarchy. Act similar to sharing his own point of view with others. It’s a geometric space that no none can perceive unless they reach godhood. Blinking stars and galaxies, genuine piece of the universe’s canvas and model of the creation itself, mandala overlooking everything from above. However, even though this place is big enough to contain countless universes it exerts feeling of a suffocating cage and he can’t perceive Throne of those who sit deeper. Moreover, because it doesn’t have any form and craving, it doesn’t possess absolute defense common to other Taikyoku.

- Yamaenraten: Yakou’s Taikyoku, Gudou type, law that emerged from craving "I want to kill everything". On his quest to find his true self and paint his colorless Taikyoku in a suitable doctrine, he found one that truly fixed his existence as the accelerator of Tengu Dou, color of death. Realization of this desire is an authority to construct method to kill all existence. Recognizing all watermarks of death in the universe, judging them and braiding them to create the most efficient way to kill his opponent. At one point his thoughts run beyond speed of light, enumerating thousands of methods and still rising. Crushing sky with empty hand will cause his opponent to compress and burst, technique to prolong someone’s life will turn into merciless ritual of instructing life to die, putting forth his Dimensional Dislocation will now offset authority of pure death with the same kind of power. All his techniques now colored with attribute of death will bring only ruination to others, ignoring common sense and theory; no matter what Yakou will surely create a method from infinite possibilities to kill all life. However, because this Taikyoku belongs to Hajun, it can be taken by him at any time.

• Murder of Death: Yakou’s Taikyoku isn’t limited to killing living beings. By killing his own concept of death he will simply mock all manners of ending his life. He received thousands of Ootake’s deaths, but every time his intact body emerged from the void.

• Light of Extinction: Yakou draws model opposing five phases of yin/yang and doctrine of all things in creation in the form of mandala of light and then collapses it. It’s his supreme death, one that repaints entire universe, transmigrating reality to the new law of death. In other words, method to kill universe itself.

- Yamaenraten (post-resurrection): after he was resurrected by Ryuusui, Yakou decided to oppose Hajun and his law to prove that’s something more than his mere Sensory. Thus, his Taikyoku changed its expression. While it’s still Gudou type, it can no longer kill living beings, but rather to judge souls after death. While it’s far more limited, creating concept of “post-mortem” which originally wasn’t present in Tengu Dou shows how much he desires his disconnection with Hajun. He can perceive attributes of souls with his newfound Tengan to grant the most suitable afterlife for each soul. He could even see the end point of Eigou Kaiki and grant salvation to residue of Mercurius. In the Seventh Heaven he’s responsible for judging souls in the infinite amount of possible universes.
