Background Information
Project ARMS is completed shonen manga series with 22 volumes created by Kyoichi Nanatsuki and Ryoji Minagawa. The series is heavily influenced by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It also has an anime series.
It stars a young man named Ryo Takatsuki, who at the beginning of the series believes that he was in an accident causing his right arm to be severed from his body.
However, as the story progresses, it is revealed that he was actually a test subject for experiments involving genetics and an "ARMS" nanomachine implant, along with 3 other youths: Kei Karuma, Takeshi Tomoe, and Hayato Shingu.
They all meet under strange circumstances and after many battles they set off on a journey to rescue Ryo's girlfriend Katsumi Akagi who is kidnapped by the Egrigori, the Egrigori being the creators of the ARMS technology.
Standing in the Battledome
Project ARMS is a manga based on nanomachines, biology, and physics.
It is one of the very few manga that has easily quantifiable feats since it's centered around advanced modern technology such as neutron bombs, firearms, and other weapons used in modern warfare.
As a verse, Project ARMS is well above the likes of the HST and Yu Yu Hakusho, possessing an array of powerful and broken abilities such as space-time ripping, atomic level destruction, reactive evolution, teleportation, freezing to absolute zero temperatures, and producing antimatter.
