- Waterbending: A form of psychic martial arts that is mainly practiced in the Northern and Southern Water Tribes. It features features elegant forms, and fluid movements, with plenty of defensive techniques design to allow the user to freely switch from defense to offense. Waterbenders are alse able to bend water in any of its three stanges, as well as been able to change it from one stage to another giving them great versatility. Some notable Waterbenders are able to bend the blood in a person body giving them full control of their movements, though it normally requires the aid of the full moon.
- Bloodbending: Yakone manipulates the water in an enemy's body, giving him full control over it. He can control the movements of the victim's body, levitate and throw them, or crush their internal organs. Yakone is capable of controlling dozens of people at once while barely moving, and like Tarrlok he does not require a full moon to use this ability.
