The Mario Party Series is a spin off party game series. What basically happens is that Mario and co. start arguing over things or someone else is arguing. (i.e. Sun and Moon) They then resolve the arguments by playing mini games and mugging each other for money.
This series is also canon to the Paper Mario series after being mentioned in a diary that talks about real events in the Paper Marioverse. (This is not counting the fact that the 8th party was hosted by the Star Spirits.)
Standing in the Battledome:
The Mario Partyverse is extremely powerful and it's one of the most powerful forces in the Marioverse. It has access to a realm called Dream Depot which seemingly exists outside of the physical universe and is capable of making the dreams that come inside it become physically real, Bowser was also going to destroy all the dreams inside the said realm which was basically composed of billions of star systems/galaxies sized dimensions/dreams (considering that all the dreams that come in this realm are created by every person that live in the world) with his own abilities,
The FAKE Millennium Star and the REAL Millennium Star could manipulate dimensions but the real Millennium Star has the power to manipulate the universe.
They also have multiple FTL characters (according to one of the boards that requires you to travel to planets without vehicles and the fact that Mario and friends could keep up with the Fake Millennium Star who could travel from the center of the universe to the Mario world in what seemed to be only a few moments and Bowser's Koopa Clown Car which could fly to the sun, then to an area far away from it in a matter of seconds/minutes), reality warping weapons, and access to FTL space travel.
