Background Information:

Marvel animated is a series of cartoons based on Marvel Comics. It's very similar to the DCAU and it is a separate continuity from the comics, but is owned by the same company. Unlike DCAU, there have been several animated series based on Marvel Comics characters over the decades. What is commonly accepted as the "Marvel animated universe" refers to the stable of shows that aired during the 1990s, where older shows such as Spider-Man (1967). Newer shows or movies such as Hulk vs. and Wolverine & the X-Men are not part of this continuity.

MAU consists of the TV series:

X-Men (1992 - 1997)
Iron Man (1994 - 1996)
Fantastic Four (1994 - 1996)
The Incredible Hulk (1995 - 1997)
Spider-Man (1994 - 1998)
Spider-Man Unlimited (1999 - 2000)
Silver Surfer (1998)
The Avengers: United They Stand (1999 - 2000)
The Avengers - Earth's Mightiest Heroes (2010 - present)

Standing in the Battledome:

For the most part, the MAU characters are weaker than their comic book counterparts, but it is a rather strong series since it has some crazy feats such as Ghost Rider pwning Galactus, and that Spider-Carnage had destroyed the entire multiverse with a giant bomb which he made. One notable exception that MAU also has Beyonder (who appeared in "Spider-Man: The Animated Series") and has powers very similar to his pre-retcon counter part but he lacks in feats though since his role was rather small. The series still has powerful characters like Dark Phoenix was able to destroy a solar system, and Thanos almost re-created the Big Bang with a small amount of prep.
