- Benehime (Crimson Princess)
- Shikai (Initial Release): Awaken: The second form (or first "upgraded" form) available to a Zanpakutō. To activate it, the Shinigami needs to learn the name of their Zanpakutō. Benehime transforms from an ordinary cane into a medium-sized sword with a hilt that bends on the end . The Shikai's ability revolves around creating a variety of crimson-colored energy techniques corresponding with the name called:
- Nake, Benehime (Scream, Crimson Princess): This variation of Benehime calls forth energy slices from the edge of the blade similar to GT, capable of matching the power of an Espada perfectly and likely exceeding it.
- Chikasumi no Tate ( Blood Mist Shield): This technique forms a hexagon-shaped crimson barrier in front of the blade as a defensive shield
- Tsuppane, Benehime (Spurning, Crimson Princess): Upon analyzing the reishi composition in a technique along with the enemy's muscle movements, Kisuke is able to cancel out the enemy's attacks by drawing his blade in a circle
- Shibari, Benehime (Crimson Princess of Binding): This technique summons a net of dense blood from the tip of the blade to constrict the target
- Hiasobi, Benehime, Juzutsunagi (Fire-Playing Crimson Princess Beaded Mesh): This technique is used after Shibari where Kisuke stabs the net with Benehime and creates flaming orbs along the outer edges of the net. These orbs multiply and burst frontally until they reach the restricted target, causing a massive explosion.
- Bankai: Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame: It has the ability to modify and remake anything it touches for both attacking and defensive purposes, it can restructure something by stitching it back together such as when Urahara restored his eyes by using this power. It also can be used as a way to bring something to an optimal working like state by enhancing it, something which Urahara used to overpower Askin by restructuring his arm. Urahara can also create a path for others to move through obstacles and barriers.

- Kido (Demon Arts): A form of Shinigami combat that is based on advanced spells that are produced with strong Reiryoku and fall into two categories: Hadō (Way of Destruction) for direct attacks, and Bakudō (Way of Binding) for battle support. It is one of the techniques in the Zankensoki, the group of Shinigami primary combat skills. Kidō spells are triggered by an incantation. Experienced users can trigger them without an incantation, though the effectiveness of the spell will be diminished.
- Bakudō #61: Rikujōkōrō (Six-Staff Light Prison): Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.
- Bakudo #63: Sajo Sabaku (Locking bondage stripes): This technique creates a thick rope that binds itself onto a target
- Bakudo #79: Kuyo Shibari (Nine Sunlight Traps): This Kido creates 9 black orbs around the target with one at the center of their chest
- Hado #32: Oukasen (Yellow Fire Flash) : Kisuke raises both hands and his cane in a horizontal position and launches a narrow flash of spiritual energy
- Hadi #91: Senju Kouten Taiho (Thousand Hands Bright Sky Canon ): This spell summons several spear-like projectiles of reiatsu that converge on the target. Urahara has yet to demonstrate the skill to use this technique without a chant
- Zanjutsu (Art of the Sword): The fighting style for the Zanpakutō, (i.e. sword fighting) and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami.
- Hakuda (Hand-to-Hand Combat): A close-combat martial art of fighting in which one is unarmed and uses only ones body, and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami.
- Shunpo: Superspeed technique which propels the user across short distances at enhanced speeds.
-Inventions: As a master scientist and the most intelligent being in Bleach, Urahara has made several objects with practical uses towards combat:
- Reiatsu sealing cloak: A black garb that completely cuts off emitted reiatsu signatures
- Gigai Balloon: A duplicate that behaves like Urahara and can be switched out in an instant based on the speed of the user
- Reiatsu cuffs: Cuffs that seal and re-direct the flow of reiatsu in a shinigami's reiatsu events (wrists) causing the victim to be attacked by their own reiatsu; Aizen admitted he would have been killed prior to his hogyoku evolution. This is unlikely to work against non-shinigami however due to a different bioloigcal structure
