The Surfer with his board moving at FTL speeds

An abbreviation that stands for Faster Than Light. Basically, anyone who is FTL should not be fucked with. It should be noted that there are two categories under this: Marginally FTL and Massively FTL. People who fall under the marginal categories are those who have dodged lasers and other light speed attacks. People who are considered Marginally FTL+ can move at ten times the speed of light and above. Massively FTL refers to people who can go multiple times the speed of light, usually one hundred times (the Cosmic Inflation Speed) and above. Massively FTL+ refers to people who can move at ten thousand times the speed of light (the Quantum Interaction Speed) and above.

Examples include:

- Anyone with the word "Superman" in their name (There are a few notable exceptions)
- Dark Schneider from Bastard!!
- Gold Saints from Saint Seiya
- Light Hawk Wing users from Tenchi Muyo!
- Most Sailors from Sailor Moon

More often, some form of FTL travel is used in science-fiction for spaceships. This is absolutely necessary to cross the vast distances between star systems in a reasonable amount of time. It ranges from FTL able to cross the galaxy in a few days (Star Wars) to taking years and years to do the same (Star Trek)
