The Paper Mario Series is a spinoff of the Mario series, which was developed by Intelligent Systems. The series has currently 3 games known as Paper Mario, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario, retracing the adventures of Mario in his quest to save his princess and the world. Apparently this series was intended to be a continuation of Super Mario RPG but due to "complications" between Nintendo and Square Enix Paper Mario became its own series.
The Mario Partyverse is canon to the Paper Mario continuity, meaning that there is a dream dimension (Which contains billions of star systems/galaxies and dimensions)
The confirmation was made from a quote from Luigi's diary, which mentions Mario party.
Standing in the Battledome:
The Paper Marioverse is currently the strongest series of the Mario multiverse, since the verse has characters like the Shadow Queen that can transmute an entire planet into her own image with the power of the crystal stars, Super Dimentio with the Chaos Heart which has the power to destroy and re-create the multiverse, and many broken powers.
However, the series has no FTL characters, having exactly one massively hypersonic one, and only through a useless technique called Dimension D, which gives everyone in it similar speed. Generally they hover around faster than the eye in movement/reaction speed.
Its main weakness is that most of its higher end feats were done with outside assistance, which, if used in a standard fight, would be the equivalent of giving Goku the Dragon Balls. In reality, as a verse, its fighters are quite weak by themselves.
