Background Information
God of War is an action/hack and slash gaming series for the Sony Playstation and PSP.
It tells the story of a Spartan warrior named Kratos, who was in servitude of the Greek gods of Olympus. In the first game, Kratos is seeking revenge against Ares, the God of War, for tricking him into killing his own family. Throughout the game, the Olympian gods endow him with many different powers.
After killing Ares in the first game, Kratos takes his place as the God of War.
In the second game, Kratos loses his powers as a god and discovers that he is the son of Zeus. In fear that Kratos might overthrow him, Zeus kills Kratos, but Gaia intervenes and saves him. Kratos then goes on a journey to face the Sisters of Fate and gains new powers through his struggle, some from the Titans.
The game is additionally notable for not really having any distinction of gameplay between the installments besides where or who he's getting his powerups from and the QTEs; essentially making it one long ass movie about mindless slaughter.
Gameplay wise, it's still one of the best if not the best hack and slash video game series out there.

Standing in the Battledome
God of War is a fairly powerful verse.
They have many country level/at least country level+/continent level+ characters as well.
They have several hax abilities as well such as slowing down time, soul manipulation, mind manipulation, petrification, dimensional manipulation, and manipulating fate.
The verse is physically impressive as well. Kratos can wrestle with mountain-sized Titans, with many beings and characters in the verse being able to match him physically.
The verse is much stronger than the likes of Boku no Hero Academia, Nanatsu no Taizai, and RAVE, but below any of the HST verses.
