Background Information

A manhwa written by KIM Jung Ryul and drawn by KANG Jae-Sin that's ongoing. Below is a brief overview of the plot shamelessly copy/pasted from the baka-updates website.

Once...Humans and Orcs peacefully co-existed, but at some point humans got greedy and started a war claiming the Orcs' territory. The deity-Lord who created all, got angry with the humans' greed and decided to punish them with 3 catastrophes. One of them was the "Dragons", divine creatures blessed with magic capable of doing almost anything. Now the Orcs, with a "Dragon" by their side, seem to have the upper hand. Will humans just sit back and see their land get destroyed? They are too devious for that... their only good plan at that point is to abduct a "Dragon" to even things up. But how are they going to manage the capture of a being with so much power?

So far Ryul does a solid job of integrating martial arts with magic to craft an interesting story, although it can be easy to get overwhelmed by the information acquired from the first chapter alone since it introduces 3 factions, over half a dozen named figures, magic, "spiritual" techniques and multiple fights.

Keep in mind that the background behind the confrontation with the orcs and dragons isn't talked about in the first chapter.

Standing in the Battledome

The verse doesn't have a a lot chapters (being fairly new and all), but it has shown some rather impressive stuff.

Teleportation seems to be a common thing among mages, as well as manipulation of the elements, and can perform cross-dimension travel.

Then you have Narwidawikal who's army is comprised of incorporeals. And you have the dragons who make everyone else look like shit with being able to summon meteor at a whim, casually dispelling magic against them, and mowing down humans with building sized fireballs.

The most prominent dragon being Kranus who was able to change the tidal current between two continents, forming "countless" tornadoes which prevents sailors from crossing the gap between the continents. More impressive is how he used magic to form a spatial barrier that prevents others from teleporting onto his domain.

Finally, there's supposedly this being that's above all of the aforementioned.

As it is, the verse is comprised of two separate dimensions and within one dimension is three continents.
