Powers and Abilities: Super strength, speed/agility, durability, stamina, endurance, dimensional manipulation, energy manipulation and projection, magic, reality warping (limited when outside his own dimension), telepathy (capable of controlling and manipulating cosmic beings with, can be used offensively and defensively), can change his size at will, illusion creation, shapeshifting, can absorb multiple types of energy (usually magic) from nearly any being, feeds on the emotion of fear, capable of granting power to other beings, can create black holes and dimensional portals, cosmic senses (can view events and communicate across universes and dimensions), sympathetic magic (created a "voodoo doll" of the entire planet earth that would cause anything he did to it to happen to the real earth, while in another dimension), absorbs and overrides the existence of whoever defeats him
Weaknesses: Needs to be summoned into most universes, can be BFR'd via dimensional banishment, but he can attack and affect things from across dimensions and universes, substantially weaker when outside his own ruling universes, certain magical nexus points, like Stonehenge, make him easier to BFR if he is there

Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Mind Control: Shuma - Gorath is capable of easily dominating the minds of lesser beings, even from across dimensions. He was even able to place a spell on Nightmare (a cosmic being who rules his own dimension) that forbid him to reveal Shuma's identity as his master
- Voodoo: Shuma-Gorath can create voodoo dolls of entire planets, and anything he does to them will happen to the actual planet. Presumably this works on living beings and other things as well
- Energy Absorption: One of Shuma's greatest powers, he can absorb energy from nearly anything, from primitive humanoid beings to cosmic level entities such as Sise-Neg. Although this is usually explained as draining magic, he can drain other types of energy as well, as shown when he drained the Invisible Woman's powers
