Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Transformation: The Wing Gundam can change from the more versatile MS mode into the faster Bird mode which is also capable of atmospheric flight. Its successor, the Wing Zero is supposed to have a similar ability. Although the new suit is able to fly even in its more common Mobile Suit form, making the Bird mode relatively useless in combat.
- Self-destruction: Heero can activate his Gundam's self-destruction sequence, overloading the fusion reactor thus creating a small nuclear explosion.
- Zero System: Battle computer linked directly to Heero's brain. It effectively pumps various combat data into his mind to show the many opportunities and outcomes of the battle. This is a system that allows Heero (a normal human) to have precognitive abilities.
- Buster Rifle: The standard beam weapon on the Wing Gundam. It is capable of easily wiping out multiple mobile suits with a single shot.
- Twin Buster Rifle: A much more powerful beam rifle than the original Wing Gundam was equipped with, this is the main weapon of the Wing Gundam Zero. It is capable of wiping out space colonies in a single shot. The two rifles can also be separated, allowing for beam spam across 360 degrees that can devastate entire formations of opposing mobile suits. The TBR is also capable of very high accuracy, to within 1/100th of a unit.
- Beam Saber: A thermal energy blade that is capable of cutting through Gundanium alloy and can even be used underwater.
- Vulcan Gun: The Wing Gundam hosts a variety of machine guns.
- Vulcan Cannon: Shoulder-mounted Gatling guns on the Wing Zero.
- Shield: Both of Heero's standard Gundams host a tower shield that can be used defensively or offensively as a ramming or piercing weapon.
