Weaknesses: Dark, Ghost, and Bug type attacks.

Speed: Massively hypersonic+ (has been shown to both enter and leave the Earth's atmosphere, is one of the fastest Legendaries, should be at least as fast as roaming Legendaries), higher in Speed Forms (is the fastest Pokemon shown so far in this form)

Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Formes: Deoxys has the ability to change its appearance and stats to suit whatever situation it may be during battle. Depending on the form the attributes of Deoxys can vary greatly. While in Normal Forme its abilities are generally balanced. While in Defense Forme it is able to create powerful forcefields including one that surrounded an entire city and one capable of taking Hyper Beams from Rayquaza. While in Attack Forme Deoxys is able to increase its power exponentially at the sacrifice of defense (has the highest attack and special attack according to game mechanics). While in Speed Forme it moves faster than any Pokemon shown (also fastest within game mechanics).
- Body Regeneration: Deoxys can regenerate any part of its body that it may have lost during a battle. it appears that as long as its crystalline organ is intact, it can regenerate its entire body. In the anime, Deoxys took four years to regenerate its whole self after being completely obliterated by Rayquaza.
- Aurora: Deoxys can release an aurora every time it changes its form, but releasing an aurora is not required to change form. In the Movie Destiny Deoxys, it is shown that Deoxys can create an aurora at will without changing form, and can communicate with other Deoxys with auroras of different wavelengths.
- Clones: In the anime and manga, Deoxys is also seen with the ability to create clones of itself. They appear with lifeless eyes, have dulled-down colors, lack of the trademark crystal on the chest and appear to be unable to use other forms besides Normal Forme. Unlike Normal Forme for a non-clone Deoxys, clones appear to only use their "tentacles" rather than the hands its tentacles can morph into. When these clones are defeated, they dissolve into shiny dust-like particles.
