"The one true savior of Nickelodeon" |
Name: Aang
Origin: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Gender: Male
Classification: Human, Air Nomad, Avatar
Age: 112 (biologically 12 in Avatar: The Last Airbender),113-114 (biologically 13-14 in "The Promise Trilogy"),165 (biologically 65) (Deceased in Avatar: Legend of Korra)
Powers and Abilities: Manipulation of the four elements (water, fire, earth and air) called bending, Avatar State. Aang can fly using a glider normally; he can fly without it in the Avatar State. Aang can feel vibrations through the earth, giving him the ability to react quickly to an opponent’s attack even when blinded or out of his line of vision. As the Avatar, Aang is the bridge between the human world and spirit world, allowing him to journey between the two through meditation, and communicate with spirits, such as speaking with his past lives and merging with the Water Spirit. He can obtain all power-ups that normal benders can (the full moon for waterbenders, Sozin’s Comet for firebenders). His powers make him resistant to soulfucks and likely mindfucks as well in the Avatar State
Weaknesses: Refuses to kill, had difficulty learning earthbending but later overcame this. If Aang is ever killed in the Avatar State, the Avatar reincarnation cycle will be broken. A solar eclipse disables firebending and a lunar eclipse disables waterbending. Cannot create earth or water, and thus needs them present to bend them
Destructive Capacity: At least large building level with airbending, City block level by Book of Fire | At least island level, potentially country level (casually raised the sea to put out fires in the Earth Kingdom, past lives have created islands, blown up volcanoes, created tornadoes and tsunamis)
Range: Several dozen meters | At least several hundred meters
Speed: Superhuman movement enhanced with airbending/glider, hypersonic+ arm apeed/reactions via powerscaling) | At least Hypersonic+
Durability: Large building level | At least Town level with shields via powerscaling
Lifting Strength: Average human, amped by his bending
Striking Strength: Class H, amped by his bending
Stamina: Superhuman
Standard Equipment: Staff/Glider
Intelligence: Extensive knowledge of all four bending arts, various fauna and locations of the world. Using the Avatar State, he also gains the memories, knowledge and experiences of hundreds of past lifetimes
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- The Avatar State: A defense mechanism which allows Aang to access all the knowledge and experience of every past Avatar. This state allows him to utilize all four elements at the same time on a very high level.
- Spirit Merger: Aang uses the Avatar State to merge with a spirit. He has only done this once before, with the Ocean Spirit. When merged, Aang rested at the "heart" of a giant fish-monster composed entirely of water. In this form, Aang can create huge tidal waves, push around battleships, and slice through steel towers with the monster's arm.

- Spirit Channeler: Under certain conditions, Aang can channel the spirit of a past Avatar. When doing this, Aang's body assumes the appearance of the past Avatar, and the past Avatar controls and can speak through Aang.
- Element Rings: Aang condenses a large amount of water, fire, and boulders into three rings revolving around him, using them as reservoirs for attacks. Can only be done while in the Avatar State.
- Four Element Drill: Aang twists the element rings and some air into a long, spiralling drill-like attack. Presumed to be powerful, but we never see the effect. Only demonstrated in the Avatar State.
- Rock Bullets: Aang quickly shoots bullet-sized rocks from a boulder, able to damage large rock pillars. Only demonstrated while in the Avatar State.
- Air Sphere: A sphere of wind surrounds Aang, protecting him from attacks in any direction. Can only briefly be held normally, but can be indefinitely sustained and used for flight while in the Avatar State.
- Water Spout: Aang creates a large waterspout with him at the top. Only demonstrated while in the Avatar State.
- Water Whip: Aang makes a whip of water, able to hit or grab opponents. In the Avatar State, Aang could make three of them that stopped three large fireblasts from Fire Lord Ozai under comet power. Variants include the Water Octopus, where Aang makes a ring of water around him on the ground and extends eight water "tentacles" from it, and the Water Wrap, where he wraps a water whip around an opponent then expands the whip, completely consuming the opponent in water. Aang can then slam the opponent against the surroundings. The wrap was only demonstrated in the Avatar State.
- Earth Shell: Aang pulls a bunch of rocks around him into a spherical shell for defense. Can tank numerous sustained blasts from Ozai.
- Rock Armor: Aang encases himself in armor made of rock.
- Earth Wave: Aang hits the ground, causing a wave of pillars to shoot upwards from the ground in all directions. In an enhanced version only demonstrated in the Avatar State, Aang rises up in a tornado then slams back down to the ground, unleashing a wave of both airbending and earthbending, devastating the local area.
- Air Blast: Aang shoots a focused gust of wind, able to blow away people like a leaf in an autumn gale. An enhanced version in the Avatar State can erode large rock pillars. He can also make waves of air that can reach 360 degrees.
- Ice Breath: Aang exhales a gust of air cold enough to freeze lava.
- Fireblasts: Basic balls and streams of fire. Can be briefly charged to increase power. Streams can be widened to create flame-thrower like techniques. Spinning kicks or sweeping arm movements create rings and arcs to slice larger, more widely spaced, or evasive targets. Under the power of Sozin's Comet, a fireblast was powerful enough to down Fire Lord Ozai's airship. Can release five such fireballs simultaneously while in the Avatar State.
- Lightning Redirection: Aang is capable of channeling a bolt of lightning through his body and firing it in another direction.

- Energybending: This technique is capable of letting Aang bend the energy of another person, effectively allowing him to take that person’s power away. Energybending is very risky as it requires that the user’s spirit be "unbendable", meaning more powerful than the target's, or the target's spirit will overwhelm Aang and kill him.
