Powers and Abilities: Skilled warrior, knowledge of vital points, can adapt to techniques seen or suffered once, through Cosmo beyond the 7th sense has super strength, super speed, enhanced durability,telepathy, telekinesis, energy blasts, forcefields, levitation/flight, dimensional travel and higher senses to compensate the loss of physical ones. Through the 8th sense has total control of his soul and body in the realm of death, allowing him to resurrect
Weaknesses: When performing the Rozan Sho Ryû Hâ his Cosmo makes a dragon tattoo on his back whose right paw visibly glows over his heart for a millisecond (at the start of the manga) as he lowers his left arm unconsciously to perform the move, marking that unguarded spot. If his enemy is fast and observant enough to strike him right there and then, Shiryu can be one-shotted. This is normally concealed by his Cloth though and its unknown if he overcame it at his later levels

Intelligence: Could pick up new techniques rather fast
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Rozan Shô Ryû Ha: A Cosmo punch that projects the image of a flying Chinese dragon (he used it as a kick the first time he performed it as a Saint apprentice, reversing the flow of an entire waterfall).
- Rozan Ryû Hi Shô: Similar to the former, but he jumps and charges with a dragon punch.
- Rozan Kôryu Ha: A suicide technique his master Libra Dohko forbade him to use, he grabs his enemy and uses all his Cosmo to propel them into outer space in a rising dragon shape, consuming them in the process.
- Excalibur: A technique inherited by him from Gold Saint Capricorn Shura, releases his Cosmo from his arm as a powerful concentrated cutting attack that can bypass the body and cut internal energies and at its best could cut divine armor (Shura could cut the Soma of Kreios at his best, Shiryu should do no less with God Cloth).
- Rozan Hyaku Ryû Ha: A technique learned after witnessing Dohko perform it once, it shoots a hundred Cosmo dragons from both of his hands.
