Powers & Abilities: Super strength, speed, durability, endurance, flight, can copy the data and abilities of others by observing them, can telekinetically control metal objects, can generate lightning (only in his Neo form, unknown if he can use it in his baseline form), can fuse himself with metal, shapeshifting (able to disguise himself as Sonic and Eggman) | Abilities are far greater in this form, can fire missiles, can fire ice beams capable of freezing Super Sonic, flight, time manipulation, can shoot out a stream of fire
Weaknesses: Incredibly arrogant, the thruster on his back will overheat when he enters his top speed for too long.
Destructive Capacity: Multi continent level (on par with Sonic) | At least star level, likely much higher (was able to freeze a Super character alive, Eggman stated that even with the power of the Chaos Emeralds, chances of victory over him is slim-to-none)

Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Chaos Control: The ability to control the fabric of time and space. Can be used to teleport over long distances or to slow down time itself. Its power depends on the amount of Chaos Emeralds Metal Sonic has with him. He's only seen using it in his fight with Super Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and without any Chaos Emeralds, likely due to him copying Shadow.
Other: Metal Sonic was a robot designed after Sonic, whom he has an unhealthy obsession of surpassing/killing. His actual origins are unknown as of yet.
