Thanos smirks, run

Name: Thanos of Titan
Origin: Marvel Comics
Gender: Male
Classification: Mutant Titanian Eternal
Age: Hundreds, possibly thousands of years old
Powers and Abilities: Super speed, strength, durability, regeneration (destroyed by Drax down to his bones, regenerated fully and combat ready within 2 seconds), immortality (type 4 - banned from Death), cosmic energy manipulation, creation of forcefields, powerful telepathic abilities and telepathic defenses, psychometry, transmutation, can heal others, teleportation, time manipulation, energy projection/absorption, limited reality warping, massively resistant against manipulation of reality, space, time, mind, soul and many others, can corrupt beings who interact with his soul, dimensional travel and manipulation, cosmic awareness/senses, can survive in space, illusion creation, can encase targets in a nearly impenetrable block of solid energy, telekinesis, mastery of armed and unarmed combat, genius - level intellect, can use various forms of magic, has many cybernetic, genetic, and mystical enhancements to his body and his armor, can absorb other beings to become more powerful, outside the realms of Chaos and Order, can negate immortality to an extent, Silver Surfer's worst nightmare (constantly makes Silver Surfer eat either his fist, his energy beams, or the dirt)
Weaknesses: He cannot truly fly, only levitate. Vulnerable to Drax, a being created by a cosmic entity specifically designed to kill him, sometimes subconsciously allows himself to lose (not applicable in an OBD battle unless CIS is on, though), can still be KO'd |
Destructive Capacity: Multi galaxy level+ up to universal+ in full power (can casually overpower Silver Surfer; managed to survive against Omega, a Thanos clone formed from his and Galactus’s DNA, where Thanos said, this clone could surpass the original in power [doubtful since og Galactus still operates on another level, but overall, Omega Thanos, is easily universal+], fought Odin in an extended fight although he kept getting knocked down and getting back up several times; can absorb energy to greatly amp his power, can reach at least megaversal+ when using a full power infinity gauntlet or likely omniversal when using heart of the universe)
Range: Galactic, much higher when ig or heart of the universe
Speed: MFTL+
Durability: Multi galaxy level+ up to universe level+ (tanked and endured attacks from Abstracts and Skyfathers in numerous instances)
Lifting Strength: Likely at least Class Y+
Striking Strength: At least Class Galactic+
Stamina: Extremely high, potentially limitless
Standard Equipment: His chair which can teleport, cross dimensions, cloak him from the senses of cosmic beings, and fly at FTL speeds. It also has weapons that were stated to be strong enough to kill Adam Warlock. His armor and clothing contain a vast amount of devices that increase his stats as well as give him many different types of weaponry and allow him to draw power from various sources across the universe and other dimensions. Sometimes the Reality Gem (which allows him to warp reality, such as resurrecting the dead) is considered to be part of his standard equipment, even though he rarely uses it
Intelligence: Hypergenius - level intellect, capable of easily building such things as time machines, advanced robots, fleets of intergalactic starships, planetbusting weapons, hacking into the planetary defense net of a technologically advanced species and reprogramming it in minutes to far exceed its original capacity, mastery of many martial arts (trained Gamora, the "deadliest woman in the universe"), mastery of battle with weapons and advanced technology, vast knowledge on cosmic beings (was able to outsmart Galactus), incredibly good manipulator, capable of plotting and tricking other beings to do his bidding, has created powerful clones of himself including one based on Galactus himself, knowledge of magic, always has a fail safe or a backup plan
Notable Attacks/Techniques:

- Time Mind Sync Warp: A psychic attack he used on Drax, it plunges the victim's mind into insanity, causing death or incapacitation. Drax was able to resist it for a while due to his incredible will/cosmic origins, but eventually fell to the attack, although he recovered later

- Force Block: Originally shown in the form of a gun, this weapon creates a block of force around a target. It was powerful enough to restrain Power Gem Thor (who had previously wrecked the team of Adam Warlock, Doctor Strange, Drax, Maxam, and Moondragon) for hours. Later it was shown that he had incorporated this technology into his armor/body, and it even managed to restrain Odin for a very brief period

- Teleportation: Thanos cannot only teleport himself, but others as well, and his control of these teleportation portals was precise enough to intercept the Silver Surfer while he was flying through space at high speed. Appears to be limited to his current universe as he is currently unable to escape from the cancerverse.

Note:
Thanos becoming supreme over the 616 reality is a bit of a recurring theme in Jim Starlin's works. In "Marvel Universe: The End," Thanos claims to have replaced The One Above All but he shows several limitations in the story such as seemingly being unable to affect Adam Warlock or Death who had exited the 616 reality or being incapable of fixing a flaw written in the universe that had been written in its celestial laws unless he destroyed and remade it, which is a possible foreshadowing of the events of "Thanos: Infinity Conflict." A followup to the story, "Thanos: Infinity Revelation," reveals that Thanos became supreme over that reality and did so again but took Adam Warlock with him to rewrite the universe in their images which had gone awry due to their damaged subconsciouses.

There's a controversy over The One Above All losing its omnipotence in "Infinity Conflict" but what is likely the case is a simple reiteration of the recurring theme seen in "The End" and "Infinity Revelation," of Thanos being supreme over 616 yet again. In the instance of "Infinity Conflict," Thanos had obtained the Dimensional Regulator of Earth-616 and in so doing, caused the foundation of that reality to fall apart and the Dimensional Regulators of other realities to want to join with the 616 version. As a result, The One Above All was unable to stop Thanos in what he had done and feared he might next be absorbed into him. Notice in this instance that all of this stemmed from Earth-616 but was spreading to neighboring realities, indicating that this is simply a 616 version of The One Above All.

There is evidence to support this as The Fulcrum, another manifestation of The One Above All, is supreme over Earth-616 and all Celestials in it. By the end of the 4th Eternals series, Tiamut the Dreaming Celestial questions The Fulcrum and ends up becoming supreme alongside The Fulcrum afterward. Moreover, we had Protege threatening to replace The One Above All of the multiverse but The Living Tribunal and Scathan The Approver had stopped him in his tracks before he could do so. So in all likelihood, Thanos is simply supreme over Earth-616 and has attempted to absorb even The One Above All of that universe.

Other: Thanos is widely known for acquiring various powerups, such as the Cosmic Cube, Infinity Gauntlet, and Heart of the Universe. While these powerups granted him nigh-omnipotent levels of power, they are not part of his standard equipment, and thus should not be used in a thread unless specified by the OP.

Not to be confused with the similarly-named character from Saint Seiya.

Thanos is a former OBD Galaxian Champion
