|''In blackest day, in brightest night,Beware your fears made into light, Let those who try to stop what's right, Burn like my power Sinestro's MIGHT!''|
Name: Thaal Sinestro
Origin: DC Comics
Classification: Alien (Korugarian)/Green Lantern
Powers and Abilities: Yellow power ring comparable in power to a Green Lantern power ring - super speed, strength, durability, flight, energy manipulation /absorption/projection, matter manipulation, telepathy, very strong telepathic defenses, can survive in space, can cross dimensions and manipulate them to a limited extent, creation of solid energy constructs, can heal self and others, limited reality warping and time manipulation, automatic shields, can grant power to others, can perform very fine manipulations on small - scale structures such as brain surgery or removing nanomachines from an organic being, intangibility (must be activated), can create forcefields, computer hacking and data processing/transmission, can analyze targets very quickly and accurately and identify most beings, substances, and anomalies, can open portals to other universes, can translate nearly any language, invisibility, illusion creation, can create copies of the ring, can summon other Yellow Lanterns, can use a fail-safe to deactivate other Yellow Lantern rings or to cause them to injure/kill their wearer, trained martial artist; when using a Green Lantern ring he can create multiple weaker rings that divide the power of the original ring between them, these rings are programmed to not work against him and may turn against their wearer if this is attempted, can summon his lantern to him and make it fire blasts of energy at enemies; When using an Indigo tribe ring he possesses the ability to mimic the energy of other Lantern Corps, provided they are nearby, heal individuals with great empathy, expose people to the pain they've inflicted on other people, as well as teleport vast intergalactic distances, though this requires a great deal of energy.
Weaknesses: The yellow ring holds a limited charge and needs to be recharged after depletion, cannot be used without the ability to inspire great fear (Sinestro has it in spades), its power can be disrupted by a Blue power ring, if focus/concentration is lost, its power can be weakened.
Destructive Capacity: Solar system level+ (can fight Green Lantern [Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner], can smack around Lobo) | At least solar system level+, likely much higher (while using the power of Parallax and he can control it)
Range: At least star system level (around 40 AUs) to cross-dimensional
Speed: Massively FTL+ (can keep up with many characters at this level of speed)
Durability: Solar system level+ | At least solar system level+, likely much higher
Lifting Strength: At least Stellar Class+ via amping
Striking Strength: Class XPJ+ via amping
Stamina: Massively enhanced superhuman
Standard Equipment: Yellow Lantern power ring, power battery
Intelligence: Very intelligent, tactically competent, skilled in martial arts. Generally, one of the most skilled lanterns of any flavor in the DC universe, at one point even temporarily holding off the entire Sinestro Corps on his own.
- Auto-aura: A passive ability that activates several enhancements simply by wearing the ring. Grants some increase in durability, and regulates temperature and oxygen, allowing the wielder to survive in space. Allows for flight.
- Autoshields: A forcefield that activates automatically whenever a YL is in danger, independent of their own will. This shield is not as strong as a purpose-created forcefield, however.
- Constructs: The primary method of usage. The YL rings can create energy constructs that can easily be larger than planets. These are often used as weapons, restraints, or tools.
Notable OBD Victories:
The Green Lantern series, was one of the few DC series that wasn't fully affected by New 52, and with the Rebirth era being now on, most of the DC series slowly go back to their origins, there are combined elements from pre-New 52 and new 52, for plot reasons, for now
