Background Information
Tenchi universe is a non-canon spinoff of Tenchi Muyo! It is also a Harem Anime, but it takes on a more fast paced feel. Opinions on the series are mixed, but it is usually thought of fairly well (Your milleage may vary if it is better than Tenchi in Tokyo) It also had two movies connected to it. The first one was near universally acclaimed.
Standing in the Battledome
For OBD standards, it is far weaker than the original series, but still powerful. Washu has designed weapons that could destroy a whole galaxy or possibly even the universe. Some of its higher tier Characters are also above pre-DBS Dragon Ball (IE Kain). It shares continuity with two of the Tenchi movies.
