- Forcefield: Spinning his head at high speed allows Mechagodzilla to raise a forcefield, which is able to burn anything that comes in contact with it.
- Fake Godzilla: When Mechagodzilla first appeared it wore a Godzilla skin to fool the Earthlings and cause destruction. While in this form it uses flamethrower breath and tries to destroy all things in its path. Anguirus and Godzilla were able to see through the ruse.

- Super Mechagodzilla: Mechagodzilla can attach to the warship Garuda. Upon doing so it gains Garuda's powerful maser cannons as well as the ability to hover above the ground by using Garuda's massive engines to achieve lift
- Absolute Zero Cannon: Kiryu's most devastating weapon, stored in its chest behind a trio of folding panels, the Absolute Zero Cannon fires a ball of energy that flash freezes its target, thereby causing it to disintegrate under the weight of its own mass.
