- Crash Magic: With this ability, Gildarts can smash everything he touches into pieces. Can also crush the ground and use it to cushion impacts, even 'crushing' one of Natsu's fire attacks.
- Crushing Evil, Spreading the Truth: Empyrean: Gildarts first breaks the spell cast by his foe, and then blows the enemy into the sky with a powerful punch imbued with magical energy.
- Disassembly Magic: Gildarts can make a net - like pattern and use it, for example, to reduce his opponent into many small doll - like versions of themselves for some time, Gildarts has even used this ability on a fire oriented attack, the fire was essentially split apart in various small versions of the original.
