Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Background Information

An abbreviation for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (known in English as simply Gurren Lagann, a Super Robot mecha anime produced by Gainax (which also made such shows as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gunbuster, Diebuster and FLCL).

Simon and Kamina were born and raised in a deep, underground village, hidden from the fabled surface. Kamina is a free-spirited loose cannon bent on making a name for himself, while Simon is a timid young boy with no real aspirations. One day while excavating the earth, Simon stumbles upon a mysterious object that turns out to be the ignition key to an ancient artifact of war, which the duo dubs Lagann. Using their new weapon, Simon and Kamina fend off a surprise attack from the surface with the help of Yoko Littner, a hot-blooded redhead wielding a massive gun who wanders the world above.

In the aftermath of the battle, the sky is now in plain view, prompting Simon and Kamina to set off on a journey alongside Yoko to explore the wastelands of the surface. Soon, they join the fight against the "Beastmen," humanoid creatures that terrorize the remnants of humanity in powerful robots called "Gunmen." Although they face some challenges and setbacks, the trio bravely fights these new enemies alongside other survivors to reclaim the surface, while slowly unraveling a galaxy-sized mystery.

There were two movies released after the series, which are an alternate retelling of the plot.

Standing in the Battledome

TTGL is an incredibly strong verse.

They're way stronger than the likes of Toriko and the HST with the top tiers of the verse also being easily superior to the likes of Dragon Ball Super, Demonbane as a whole, JJBA, as well as most of Saint Seiya.

The real power comes from the mechas, which can range from at least multi continent level+ to at least multiverse level+ due to the Anti-Spirals' multi-dimensional labyrinth and their casual maintenance of them.

Speed wise they're at least massively hypersonic+ to MFTL+ (TV series only as of the past, present, and future laser spam from SGGL never happened in the movie).

There are surprisingly quite a lot of worthy humanoid fighters as well such as Lordgenome (who is multi continent level+/MHS+ by the end of part 1 and multiversal+ by the end of part 2), Adult Simon and Anti Spiral (are easily at least multiverse level+/mftl+ speed as well), and the rest of Team Dai-Gurren (they scale to immeasurable speed at least due to being able to keep up with the Anti-Spiral during the final battle without the aid of computers, particularly Yoko).

STTGL and Super Anti Spiral are also at least multiverse+ and massively FTL+ (movie continuity only) speed too.

Team Dai-Gurren Brigade each received a significant boost with their mechas in the movies as well and would be easily multiversal and massively FTL+ speeds.

They have a few and pretty underrated hax such as probability manipulation, reality-warping, space-time manipulation, dimensional illusion creation, acausality, and cosmic energy absorption.
