Background Information

Avengers Assemble is a 2D mixed with 3D CGI animated series that was originally intended as a direct sequel and continuation of Marvel Animation's previous work, The Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes, before that concept was scrapped and it was set in its own continuity separate from its predecessor. Avengers Assemble features a primary cast and main team focusing on Tony Stark as the Iron Man, Steve Rogers as Captain America, Clint Barton as Hawkeye, Bruce Banner aka the Incredible Hulk, Natasha Romanova as the Black Widow, Sam "Snap" Wilson as the Falcon, and finally Thor Odinson. Naturally as part of the recent tied-in animated continuity that includes Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H and the upcoming work, Guardians of the Galaxy, there is some overlap. As a result, it is not directly part of the Marvel Comics traditional universe and character/world incarnations are rather different but is technically linked in the Marvel multiverse as Earth-12041 according to the Marvel in Secret Wars: Official Guide to the Marvel Multiverse.

Standing in the Battledome

Avengers Assemble is a fairly powerful series: early on in the first season there are feats of characters holding up entire islands, countering the energy produced by giant tsunamis, and upper mid tier characters having massively hypersonic speed. Even more powerful and higher tiered characters have been shown to be able to travel across galaxies via teleportation, dimension travel across different realms and worlds, survive planetbusting explosions mostly unscathed such as Galactus or Thanos punching Uatu the Watcher from the Moon to the Earth casually and blasting him into the Avengers Tower at New York. There are also instances of more conceptual powers like reality warping on a planetary scale; Squadron Supreme warps the Earth to make themselves the heroes in an alternate universe which is created as a result of utilizing the power of the Reality Gem and Impossible Man performing acts that borderline toon force showings.
