Gohan charging his Kamehameha

Ki, also known as chi or qi, is the Chinese concept of the body's spiritual energy. Ki manipulation is a common ability in fiction, especially in anime and manga. Common ki abilities include increasing one's speed, power, durability, and reflexes, energy blasts, energy shields, shape manipulation (changing the form of ki into that of an object), aura crush, flight, regeneration, healing and precognition. Ki manipulation is often associated with martial arts, telekinesis and psychic powers. In the OBD, most ki abilities follow the equivalence rule, though there are a few exceptions.
