Powers and Abilities: Super strength, speed, durability, endurance, agility, Zanjutsu master (art of the sword), Hakuda expert (hand-to-hand combat), the ability to use Reiryoku and exert it as Reiatsu (used to increase the user's offensive power and defensive abilities), can sense beings with Reiatsu, the ability to use Shikai (upgrades that increase his Reiatsu)
Weaknesses: Dangerously overconfident, willingly limits himself by using an energy stealing eye patch, braiding bells into his hair, using his sword one-handed, etc. (Post Muken training Kenpachi loses some of the weaknesses sans the eyepatch)
Destructive Capacity: At least multi city block level+ normally, town level+ with Kendō (nearly one-shotted Nnoitra with a Kendō strike), City level via powerscaling (was a major contributor to the defeat of the 0th Espada along with Byakuya) | Country level+ (destroyed a meteor in a single blow with his Shikai, stronger in his incomplete Bankai state)

Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Nozarashi: The name of Kenpachi's Zanpakuto. Its release command is Drink (呑め, nome).
- Shikai (Initial Release): The second form (or first "upgraded" form) available to a Zanpakutō. To activate it, the Shinigami needs to learn the name of their Zanpakutō. Even before knowing its name, his Zanpakutō is in a constant release state much like Ichigo's Zangetsu. The blade is much longer than that of a standard Zanpakutō, roughly the size of a nodachi with a guard that extends inward from its center similar to a shinai. The hilt is white although most of it is wrapped in bandages, as is his sword's sheath. Despite constantly being in its Shikai state, Kenpachi’s Zanpakutō does not grant him any additional abilities due to their lack of communication. However, upon Kenpachi calling out its release command, Nozarashi transforms into a huge axe with a long, cloth-wrapped handle and a tassel attached to the top. In this form, it is powerful enough to destroy a huge meteorite with a single blow.

- Zanjutsu (Art of the Sword): The fighting style for the Zanpakutō, (i.e. sword fighting) and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami.
- Ryōdan (Bisection): A Kendō technique where Kenpachi uses his sword with both hands and cuts his opponent down the middle.
- Hakuda (Hand-to-Hand Combat): A close-combat martial art of fighting in which one is unarmed and uses onone'snes body, and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami.
- Bankai: Unnamed: Kenpachi's skin turns red, and gains multiple markings across his face and horns on his forehead and he looks like a demon, his blade becomes shorter and it looks like a cleaver like a blade with its attack power becoming very powerful. Yachiru is his Bankai and she said that she released a bit too much of his power than his body could handle, for now, so Zaraki still can't control the power of his Bankai.
