Notable Attacks/Techniques:

- Shinsoku: Literally "God Speed", this increases his movement and reaction speed to superhuman levels.

- Kuzu-Ryusen: Translated as "Nine-headed Dragon strike", this technique attacks 9 vital points on an opponent's body almost simultaneously, and is designed to be a crippling blow.

- Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki: The Ultimate Technique of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu, translated as "Heavens Bridging Dragon Spark", this technique is faster than any other attack in his arsenal. It's basically just an incredibly fast battojutsu attack, using an extra step in the left foot to gain the necessary speed. It's so fast that it creates an air vacuum that draws the opponent in if they dodge the first strike, allowing a second, even stronger strike to hit them. This is a supersonic attack. At the end of the manga, Kenshin's body has deteriorated to the point where he can no longer use this technique.
